I have lived in the central valley all my life and had only read or watched documentaries about this place. I decided I need to change that. Overall, I enjoyed it. Informative tour combined with some interesting construction techniques. Worth a visit. As it's mostly exposed, maybe more of a morning activity if its a hot day.

I don’t usually go to places that serve Mexican food as in my home that’s just good. I usually want to try thing I wouldn’t make every day. The main draw for Las Mañanitas is their chilaquiles. At home that means using some of the sauce my mom tends to send back with us when we visit and added to some stale chips. Comforting and topped with lettuce or cabbage in the morning, it’s not something I would normally seek outside of a lazy morning breakfast at home. That said, I wanted to try this new place and I was not disappointed. The meal was delicious, the local modern and the coffee a revelation. Cafe de Olla is delicious and needs nothing added to it make you want multiple servings, which they gladly and attentively provide.
